Amelia Moriarty

Amelia Moriarty is a writer, researcher and illustrator from Vermont, based between New York City and Paris.

As a writer and researcher, she considers art practice and embodied experience as an approach to the sacred, beyond the limit. Across virtual worlds, machine learning and dreamscapes, she questions how collective consciousness and creative generation shape reality, informed by mysticism both ancient and modern.

Her writing has appeared in Expat Press, Midcult, Maudlin House, New Sinews and others. She works as an independent linguist and writer for AI labs while completing postgraduate study in comparative literature at the Sorbonne. She is at work on a debut novel.

As a visual artist, she illustrates imaginary realms. She models internationally in cities including Paris, NYC and Shanghai, and occasionally works as a stylist, dancer, and actor, appearing in films like Plastic Pilgrims (2025) by Rubia al-Sweel and Le Meilleur du Monde (2025) by Marion Standefer.
